Explore Our Stunning Spring Garden: Cactus Blooms and More

This is what our back garden looks like in the Spring, April through early June. This was a great year for cactus blooms.

The cactus with huge white blooms is an Argentinian Saguaro. The blooms only last a day opening in the afternoon and last through the next morning, fading rapidly starting about noon.

This next image was taken mid-morning after cloud rolled in, so no harsh shadows. We had 42 blooms open simultaneously last year. This year had three distinct waves.

Argentinian saguaros also come in yellow and pink. Here’s a yellow one.
