A Seasonal Review — Spring 2025

Didn’t Watch: See Seasonal Impressions

21. The Unaware Atelier Meister — D
Boring,

20. The Shiunji Family Children — D
Had so much unfulfilled potential as trash.

19. Please Put Them On, Takamine-san — D+
Also great trash potential…

18. I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! — Ongoing
How did this get three seasons…? And why am I still watching?

17. Aharen-san wa Hakarenai — C-
Should have stopped while I was ahead.

16. The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Away by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom — C-
All the biggest problems are mostly solved in episode two.

15. The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl — C+
Wish it focused more on the comedy and less on the romance, which sucked.

14. Food for the Soul — C+
Needed more suffering. Great first episode, the rest was dull.

13. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes — Ongoing
Better than the original…

12. Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho — Ongoing
Some good arcs, some less so.

11. Witch Watch — Ongoing
Funny and enjoyable!

10. Once Upon a Witch’s Death — B
Surprised how this didn’t shy away from the tough topics.

9. Kowloon Generic Romance — B+
Unique atmosphere and style.

8. A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof — B+
Funny and enjoyable.

7. Maebashi Witches — A-
This show is practically tailor made for me, in being super weird. But I think it’s legitimately great.

6. Rock is a Lady’s Modesty — A-
Here for the rage.

5. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX — A-
Still can’t believe this came together in the end.

4. Lazarus — A-
Fun and energetic! Very pleasant experience.

3. Go! Go! Loser Ranger — A-
Needs a sequel so bad…

2. Apocalypse Hotel — A
Unforgettable, beautiful show.

1. Apothecary Diaries — A
I love Maomao…

This season ruled so hard. Easily the most As I have ever given in a single season. And this is not grade inflation. We were so privileged this last season with so many great shows.

Anything good I missed?
