We want to find out how the profession is adapting to using AI and generative design. From those taking their first steps, to full AI adopters, the survey is seeking a snapshot of today’s business and design processes and the role played by ‘intelligent’ computer systems.
Our original investigation at the beginning of 2024 revealed that nearly two-thirds of the 300 mainly UK-based architects and students polled were using AI in some way. Subsequent research by others show that, especially in larger practices, this proportion has increased.
So what is AI best suited for, what are the most popular tools today, and what are the barriers against greater adoption?
