Colombo, Sri Lanka

Retaining the City

July 2025 – February 2026

A public-facing sketching initiative that invites the Urban Sketchers community and the general public to engage with the vanishing landmarks and neighborhoods. Over eight months (from July 2025 to February 2026), we will host four public sketch walks at the following historically significant sites that are under threat from redevelopment.

All-German Urban Sketchers Meetup 2025

National gathering to explore and sketch Stuttgart’s diverse urban landscape with sketching sessions by day and by night, sketch walks and final exhibition.

Guadalajara, Mexico

VIVA MÉXICO Fiesta De Urban Sketching

November 14 – 16, 2025

The organizing team will create an event to celebrate their city and traditions, but mostly, to gather sketchers from all over Mexico draw together, and to involve them in different sketching activities including a drink & draw, workshops, sketchwalks, and Sketchers Rally.

Quezon City, Philippines

Sketching Heritage: From Revolution to Republic

January – May 2026

A five-month cultural engagement project that leverages urban sketching as a tool for heritage education, cultural preservation, and community participation. It focuses on Malolos (Bulacan), Taal
(Batangas), and Quezon City—historically significant areas in the Philippines. Through sketch meets, storytelling, and exhibitions, the project fosters historical literacy, inter-city dialogue, and artistic expression. The project will culminate in a physical or digital exhibition of the participants’ artworks.

Asheville, North Carolina USA

The 2026 Carolinas Sketch Crawl

June 4 – 7, 2026

The 2026 Carolinas Sketch Crawl intends to be a part of the Asheville River Arts District’s renaissance and recovery by
inviting sketchers, community members, and visitors to a four-day event. It will include workshops, a sketchwalk and architectural Tour, and sketchbook exhibit.
