HOT 10 COMICS | CBSI Comics

WRITER: Dan Slott
COVER ARTIST: Olivier Coipel

So news this week that Spider-punk may be getting an Animated Spin-Off Movie In The Works At Sony Pictures. As a result, many folks have gone back to grabbing his 1st in this issue of ASM.

With 40+ sales (+900%) back at an Avg of $35, with a raw High of $60. IN addition, CGC 9.8s hit $175.

Given the number of Spider rumors out there, many books are doing well, and a few more can find their way on the list in the coming weeks and months ahead.

COVER ARTIST: Steve McNiven

OK so a cadre of villains are being teased and speculated on. And despite as many sources saying M. Negative is not THE Big Bad, as those that say he is; folks are still scooping up his 1st app.

This week we had 60+ sales (+644%) at an Avg $25 with a High of $45. Much like our #1 Spidey book, this one is also a CGC 9.8 for $175

3 West Coast Avengers #35

WRITER: Steve Englehart
COVER ARTIST: Al Milgrom

Down a bit in volume from last week; but still with 100+ sold, this FOMO Doom book is still outselling most books on the market earning the 3rd spot.

While I still think RDJ’ post means nothing and it was just a cool Doom comic he had lying around, many folks are still seeing something in this book raising its Avg to $37 (+23%). The standout sale was a High $242 for a Mark Jewelers variant.

4 Fantastic Four: First Steps #1

WRITER: Matt Fraction
COVER ARTIST: Phil Noto

Since the release of the film, this book has been moving in high volumes. The last week or two those volumes have included not just cover price sales, but sales much higher.

With 60+ sold this week with an Avg of $15, as well as Highs of $21. This is book riding the popularity of the film. Both covers sell equally well and can easily be mistaken for one another as sets sell for $60.

5 Fantastic Four #247

WRITER: John Byrne
COVER ARTIST: John Byrne

This 1st app of Kristoff is still riding those rumors to an increase in volume his week with 40+ sold (+33%)

At an avg of $16, which is a slight increase from last week, it did have a much higher High at $50 (+100%). Also its notable that a CGC 9.8 $380. Not a MJ variant like last week but a seeming vanilla version of the book at a very big ticket price.

6 FCBD 2007: Amazing Spider-Man #1

WRITER: Dan Slott
COVER ARTIST: Phil Jimenez

As Brand New Day rumors continue to leak out, this FCBD release is seeing action again with 20+ sold (+1,050%)

Both the Avg of $18 (+80%), and the High of $40 (+300%) are significant jumps from last weeks sale marks as a CGC 9.8 hit $250

7 Punisher #218 2nd Print

WRITER: Matthew Rosenberg
COVER ARTIST: Tim Bradstreet

More Brand New Day rumors are putting Jon Bernthal’s Punisher app in a new armor akin to when he donned the War Machine armor in the comics.

As that rumor is selling all versions of this book, it was the 2nd print that stood out to me with Dozen sold (+1,100%) at an Avg $82, with a High $125. The 1st print A is also a $40-$50 book but like I noted, the 2nd print and its huge volume jump stood out a bit more to me.

8 Batman / Superman: World’s Finest #40

WRITER: Mark Waid
COVER ARTIST: Dan Mora

Since the news a couple weeks back of Colbert being cancelled, this Dan Mora cover has been seeing some spotty sales. The last 2 weeks have picked up however and last week’s 20+ sold at an Avg $20, with a High $25 stood out from the pack of options we had at the bottom of our list.

9 T.A.M.A. #1 1:10

WRITER: Adam Schlagman & Doug Pasko
COVER ARTIST: Tony Fleecs

A new release incentive variant that has stood out from the pack is this small press 1:10.

With 15+ sold at an Avg $26, that is above the norm for a new release variant these days, as was the High mark $50. If this read is half as good as the homage cover, this could be closer to the floor rather than the ceiling for this book. Time will tell.

10 Amazing Spider-Man #9 1:100

WRITER: Joe Kelly
COVER ARTIST: J. Scott Campbell

Amongst a handful of JSC options in a high ratio 1:100, it seems the MJ is standing out from the pack a bit with Over a dozen sold.

That’s decent volume for a 1:100 variant as it is also selling at a premium price at an Avg $131 with a high mark so far of $160.

These are one off sales worth noting this week. Single sales may not warrant a place on the main list, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t note impressive and notable single sales each week.

Amazing Spider-Man #678 1:50

MJ as Venom has been a thing for a few months, but this old school variant darling sold at a big price for a non-graded comic. A Raw sold for $2,500 on an accepted Best Offer on a $3500 Ask.

This sale marked the Highest Raw sale since last August for $1600

Batman #608 RRP

A new ATH sale for a CGC 9.0 which sold for $2,800 this week. This HTF RRP variant is desired in any grade as a CGC 9.0 like this Last sold for $1,325 in Feb. So this was quite the rebound price.
