When I was a kid and did puzzles on the floor in my room, I only had one board for the assembly. There was no space to spread out all the pieces. So I’d sift through the box and pick out color groups to work on, one at a time. I used that method with this puzzle. Not sure why- perhaps because it took up most of my largest board, and I didn’t feel like having extra panels out to arrange the loose pieces. I also broke with my usual self-imposed rule that I don’t have pieces within the frame unless they’re connected to something. This time, when I found a piece and had a guess to where it went, I just put it in that general area, and then fitted other pieces to it as they showed up. So the assembly looks much more of a jumble for the first few stages. In some ways this actually went faster than normal, even though I felt like many of the sittings went slowly.

It did have quite a bit of glare, which only bothered me when I was working after dark and had overhead lights on.

On the box picture, you can’t make out any lettering on smaller elements, but on the puzzle itself, you can read what’s printed on the sides of paintbrush handles and paint tubes.

So that was fun. All those paint tubes in the upper right corner were the hardest part.
